Richard Mooney of nxo Coventry is helping to organise a "Getting Ahead in E-marketing" seminar jointly presented by the Chartered Institute of Marketing and National B2B Centre at the University of Warwick on Tuesday 29th January.
The evening seminar will include a presentation on the fundamentals of planning and managing websites that deliver results by the National B2B Centre’s lead e-business consultant James Pennington. The National B2B Centre, based at Warwick University, helps West Midlands enterprises adopt successful e-business techniques. It provides free consultancy to qualifying organisations in addition on-line tools, training and networking. Seminar delegates will learn how to measure results, take away new e-marketing techniques and gain experience from examining a selection of live websites.
Siobhan Browne, Chair of the Chartered Institute of Marketing-s Birmingham and Coventry Branch says: "Delegates will be given the tools to increase efficiency and eliminate ineffective marketing costs-.
"Some small and medium sized enterprises can see their marketing expense as just another cost while some are predicting a recession. But the key for surviving, and sometimes even prospering during recession, is to take a hard look at each marketing activity and decide what results you are getting from it. The worst thing organisations can do is pay for a website to be hosted and maintained without having any clear idea of how many new customers or enquiries are generated from it. For many small and medium sized enterprises e-marketing can appear as technically complex and expensive when it should be a cost effective way to find more customers and gain more sales."
"Getting Ahead in E-marketing" is being jointly presented by the Chartered Institute of Marketing and
National B2B Centre at Warwick University, Tuesday 29th January from 18.00 - 21.00. Fees, which include buffet refreshments and networking, are £20, reduced to £15 for CIM members.
